Sheila Elaine Stottlemyer, 46, of Taneytown, MD died unexpectedly on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. Born August 23, 1969 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Patricia Long of Taneytown, and Roger Stottlemyer and wife Tracy of New Midway.
Sheila was a Railyard Supervisor at the Warner Graham Company in Cockeysville. She was a 1987 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School, and an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. She enjoyed visiting area casinos and collecting porcelain dolls. Most of all, though, she loved spending time with her grandson “Reecie-pie” and taking him on weekend day trips.
Surviving in addition to her parents are daughter, Tiffany Stottlemyer Winfrey and companion Justin Mossman of Taneytown; sister, Maria Smith of Taneytown; grandson, Maurice “Reecie” Summers; nieces, Christina Smith and Megan Hull; nephew, Michael Long; great-niece, Kaleigh; great-nephews, Kellan and Roland; and step-sisters and step-brothers, Tiffany, Beth, Tabitha, Brandon, and Brent. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger “Kevin” Stottlemyer.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787, with the Rev. Stanley Diehl and the Rev. Timothy Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to the funeral home at the above address.
