Sharon Elisabeth Follin “Mimi” Lomax, 71, of the Carroll Vista community in Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born September 23, 1941 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Archie and Audrey Groves Follin.
Sharon was formerly a computer programmer for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards and bingo, visiting casinos, working crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid reader.
Surviving are daughter, Shannon Fuller and husband, Greg, of Ellicott City; son, Scott Lomax of Bethesda, sister, Gail Dood and husband, Ken, of Arlington, VA; and grandchildren, Trent, Peyton, and Abigail Fuller.
The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, October 10 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at 3 p.m. following the visitation.
