Sharon Brewbaker, age 65, of Taneytown, Maryland died peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.
Born November 23, 1946 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lavina Virginia (Mahanna) Eckenrode.
Sharon worked for 40 years in the office staff of Random House in Westminster. She was a skilled gardener and loved flowers. She was very artistic and enjoyed crafts, painting, ceramics, and reading. She was always generous, giving of her time, and helpful to others.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Brewbaker of PA; sisters, Anna Lovejoy of Hagerstown, Linda Barnes and husband Robert, of Taneytown, and Regina Eckenrode of New Oxford; brother, Michael Eckenrode and wife Kim of Westminster; close friend, Stephen Knisley of Littlestown, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, William and Robert Mahanna.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow in Keysville Union Cemetery.
