Sharon Diane (Frith) Bradley

September 13, 1949 — April 13, 2014

Sharon Diane Frith Walton Bradley, 64, of Taneytown, Maryland, died peacefully Sunday, April 13, 2014 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.  Born September 13, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of Evelyn Dewey Frith of Glen Allen, VA, and the late Charles Frith, Jr.  She was the wife of Frank M. Bradley, to whom she was married for nearly thirty years.

Sharon was a graduate of J.R. Tucker High School in Richmond, VA, class of 1967.  She worked at Verizon Communications in Silver Spring, MD for more than 31 years.  She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, cooking, playing Mah Jongg, and spending time with family and friends.  She was a loving mother and devoted wife.  Sharon’s time on this earth was entirely too short and she will be terribly missed.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are sons, Aaron Walton and wife Mary of Finksburg, and Jason Walton and companion Krystle Prince of Walkerton, VA; daughters, Ashlea Bowers and husband Todd of Finksburg, and Keeley Carl and husband Timothy of Taneytown; sisters, Susan Tansey of Mechanicsville, VA, and Sherry Tinsley and husband Dorsett, of Mechanicsville, VA; brothers, Charles Frith and wife Debbie of Midlothian, VA, David Frith and wife Anna of Goochland, VA, and Michael Frith of Mechanicsville, VA; grandchildren, Sarah and Jessie Lee Walton, and Skylar and Rylee Bowers; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her father, she was predeceased by brother-in-law, Michael Tansey, and sister-in-law Marsha Frith.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held 3-6 p.m. Friday, April 18 at the Carroll Vista Community Clubhouse, 1 Clubside Dr., Taneytown, MD.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA, 17110, or to the Carroll Hospital Center Foundation, 200 Memorial Ave., Westminster, MD, 21157 in honor of Sharon Bradley for the benefit of the Intermediate Care Unit.
