Sandra Lee Glass, 70, of Gaithersburg, Maryland died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her home. Born August 15, 1943 in Swallow Falls, Garrett County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Arden and Pauline Mayle Skipper. She was the wife of Larry Glass, to whom she was married for almost 30 years.
Sandy was an office manager for Safeway Food Stores for 15 years and for Brook Manor Country Club in Silver Spring, MD for 5 years. She enjoyed reading, fishing, working crossword puzzles, taking walks with the dog at the park, cooking, watching cooking shows, and visiting her relatives in North Carolina. She was a very good card player and enjoyed playing Bingo and board games, as well.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Gerald Broadwater of Cumberland, MD; step-son, Steven Glass and wife Grace of Florence, SC; brothers, Terry Skipper and wife Liz of Charlotte, NC, and Gary Skipper and wife Petra of Selma, NC; step-grandchildren, Gabby and Steven Glass, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Tribute Giving, 8400 Silver Crossing, Oklahoma City, OK, 73132.
