Ruth Estella (Hepting) Ofenstein

Ruth Estella Ofenstein, 93, of Westminster, Maryland died peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Westminster Healthcare Center.
Born May 23, 1927 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Truman S. and Estella (Newmann) Hepting. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Francis “Frank” Ofenstein.

Ruth was primarily a homemaker, but worked as a substitute teacher for over 10 years with Baltimore County Public Schools.  She loved spending time with family and friends and loved bowling and "cleaning up" at the bingo tables.  Ruth attended Wakefield Valley Bible Church.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Elizabeth Jenkins, and her husband Gary of Lexington Park; grandson-in-law, Jason Duvall of Westminster; great-grandsons, Cody and Dylan Duvall, and Gary Jenkins III.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Ruth Buhrman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD with Pastor Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
