Ruth Elizabeth Miller Weishaar, age 93, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Lorien Nursing Center in Taneytown.
Born May 15, 1920 in Warfieldsburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel James and Daisy May Bloom Dull. Twice married she was predeceased by her first husband, Ralph “Jake” Miller in 1985 and by her second husband, James Marvin Weishaar in 2004.
Ruth retired after 32 years as a seamstress with Butte Knit in Westminster. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Gamber, Gamber Friendly group, and the auxiliary of the Gamber Fire Co.
Surviving are daughters, Jean “Jeannie” Miller and husband Bob and Joy Miller both of Westminster; brother, Ralph “Cubby” Dull of Westminster; grandchildren, Tim and Mel, Doug and Shay, Jerrod and Wendy Bauerlien, Shawn and Dollene, Kevin and Christy Miller; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandsons; step-children, Jim and Bonnie Weishaar Jr of Finksburg, Chuck and Carol Weishaar of Hampstead, Roxann and Bruce Gilcrest of FL., Lisa and Tom Bowen of Va., Bonnie Weishaar of W.VA., Debbie Weishaar of Finksburg, and Barbara Weishaar of PA.
Also surviving are numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by brothers, Peck, John, and Buddy Dull; sisters, Rachael and Ethel Overholtzer and Gladys Yingling; step-sons, Doug Weishaar Sr. and Robert Weishaar; step-grandson, Doug Weishaar, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with Rev. Douglas Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in Gamber, Maryland. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
