Ruth Lee Miller, age 90 of Hampstead, formerly of Woodlawn, died Friday, March 15, 2013 at Carroll Hospice Dove House. She was born March 19, 1922 in Baltimore, daughter of the late William H. Snead and Ruth Grant Murray. She was the wife of Ambrose “Andy” O. Miller, her husband of 67 years.
She was a 1940 graduate of Western High School and briefly attended Peabody Institute in Baltimore. Ruth had the voice of an angel and spent most of her life singing in the church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Phyllis McGinnis of Hampstead and Leslie Logsdon and her husband, Joseph of Timonium; grandchildren, Dr. Michael McGinnis and his wife, Maryann of Dahlonega, GA, Stephen McGinnis and his wife, Jodi of Scotrun, PA, Heather Stanford and her husband, Jasper of Timonium; great grandchildren, Zachary, Stephen, Erin and Isabella.
Services and entombment will be private at Druid Ridge Cemetery in Pikesville, MD.
Arrangements are by the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster, MD.
