Russell "Rusty" Zepp

November 10, 1956 — October 5, 2014

Russell Ivan “Rusty” Zepp, 57, of Millers, died Sunday afternoon, October 5, 2014 as the result of a motorcycle accident.  Born November 10, 1956 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of Althea Jane Snyder Zepp of Hampstead and the late Paul Zepp.  He was the husband of Stacy Dedmon Zepp.

Rusty was employed as a pump operator for Belfast Valley Contractors in Dundalk.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Hampstead Post 200 and the Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg.  Rusty enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and reading the Bible.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are daughters, Courtney Zepp of Millers and Melanie Zepp of Westminster; sisters, Pam Nicewarner and husband Mike of Charles Town, WV, Deb Eckard of Westminster and Paula Shipley of Hampstead; brother, Tim Zepp and wife Judy of Manchester; sisters-in-law, Janeli Levy and husband Marty of Westminster, Amy Wenderoth of Baltimore, and Robbi Smith and husband Dave of Westminster; brother-in-law, Jeremy Dedmon and wife Sarah of Westminster; grandchildren, Lee and Alyssa Johnson and Thomas Sharp; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Dedmon and a niece, Cassandra Shipley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9 at Carrollton Church of God, 1901 Carrollton Road, Finksburg, Maryland with Pastor Dave Meador officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
