Roy Franklin Mills, age 86, of Westminster, Maryland died on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.
Born November 29, 1923 in Clearspring, Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas Mills. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet Virginia (Leese) Mills in 1994.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during W.W.II in the European Theater, receiving the European, African, & Middle Eastern Theater, Good Conduct, and W.W.II Victory ribbons. Roy was active in the Westminster Senior Center for many years. He enjoyed BINGO and playing cards.
Surviving are children, Jackie Mills of Westminster, Sandy Morgan of Hanover, PA, Steve Mills of Westminster, Karen Mills of Westminster, Pam Banks of Taneytown, Tina Mawhinney and husband Rick of Westminster; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by children, James Mills, Pat Stultz, William F. Mills, and Mark Curtis Mills; a great-granddaughter Amanda Bell.
FUNERAL SERVICES AND VISITATION HAVE BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE WEATHER, A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE.
