Rosby “Bud” Moore Carr, Sr., age 64, of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, formerly of Westminster and Manchester, Maryland, died on Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2008 at the home of his son in Fairfield, Pa.
Born June 20, 1943 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Marvin Lee, Sr. and Bernice (Caterson) Carr.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, having served seven years during the Vietnam War. He was an auto and truck mechanic for most of his working career. He was a member of the Reisterstown Moose Lodge, Hampstead American Legion, AMVETS, and was a life member of the North American Fishing Club. He loved fishing, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Surviving are children, Rosby M. Carr, Jr., and spouse Dawn of Fairfield, Pa., Belinda B. Coffey of Manchester, Audrey Warren and spouse James of Lineboro, and Daryl Camp of Manchester; brothers, Frederick and Earline Carr of West Virginia, and Marvin L., Jr. and Ann Carr of Westminster; sisters, Rita and Carl Little of Westminster, and Linda Martin of New Windsor. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Patricia Bellomy, and by siblings, David and Robert Carr, Elsie Dorsey, Jean Miller, and Lucille Albright.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with funeral celebrant, John C. Morrill officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Westminster. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
