Rosanne Linda Vallery, 67, of Taneytown, Maryland died peacefully Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born March 8, 1947 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward Ford and Anna Gerdes. She was the wife of Harry “Bud” Vallery. They were married for 48 years.
Rosanne was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed attending worship services at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Littlestown, PA. She loved collecting and creating dollhouse miniatures, and she loved animals, especially her dog Daisy.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Scott Vallery and wife Sarah of The Woodlands, TX; daughters, Kristen Koons and husband Charlie of Morgantown, PA, and Suzanne Vallery of Taneytown; brother, William Geoghegan of NJ; grandchildren, Hannah and Hope Vallery, and Benjamin, Jacob, and Rebecca Koons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Barbara LaManna, and brother, Philip “Buddy” Geoghegan.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24 at Bethel Assembly of God, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA with Rev. Richard Ritenour officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
