Ronald Carroll Voland, Jr.

Ronald Carroll Voland, Jr., age 68, passed away on September 30, 2024 at Inova Hospital, Fairfax, Virginia. Born October 19, 1955, he was the son of the late Ronald Carroll and Doris Elizabeth Voland, Sr. He was the loving husband to Cindy Lou Voland.

Besides Ron's wife Cindy,  he is survived; daughter, Tiffany Frazier (John) of Glen Burnie, MD; stepdaughters, Jessica Wolfe (Brent) of Fairfield, PA and Brittany Dewees (Keith) of Thurmont, MD as well as eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Douglas Voland (Kendra) of Taneytown, MD; his sister, Judith Steele (Michael) of New Windsor, MD and his stepbrother, William Hopkins (Linda) of Kingsville, MD, and longtime friend, James Welty. Ronald will be missed by his beloved cats Buddy and Molly.

He is preceded in death by his stepmother, Patsy Voland; his siblings, Michael Voland and Lisa Reese and one of his favorite kitties, Toby.

He worked as a Pressman for a Printing Shop for many years. On September 30, 2017, after 18 years together, he married the love of his life Cindy Lou. They had 25 beautiful years together.

His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, and loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals as well as an eternal jokester. 

Ronald was a passionate hunter, having been a member of the Waynesboro Fish & Game Association for many years. He enjoyed cutting firewood and riding his 4-wheeler and motorcycle. He will forever be remembered as clean freak about his truck- never driving it in the rain. He also loved sitting on the porch with Denny “gossiping.”

The memorial visitation will be held on October 12, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main Street, Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
