Ronald Eugene Bailey, beloved father and grandfather, age 72, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Monday, February 2, 2015 at his home.
Born May 30, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Earl and Louise Bailey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and served at Parris Island.  He worked as an engineer and planner for the Carroll County Government in the planning and zoning department.  Ron's gentle, kind, fun-loving spirit will be deeply missed. He was passionate about nature and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hiking. His love for nature and travel took him on many trips to visit and explore our national parks. Most recently, he could be found on the trails and pond at Hashawa. Ron was also a dedicated Orioles and Ravens fan, loyal to his Native American heritage, and loved music. What he loved most was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Ron is survived by daughters, Shannin Sheasby and husband Christopher of Westminster and Julie Romeo and husband Paolo of Reisterstown; son, Rhyan Bailey of Inwood, W.Va.; grandchildren, Noah and Ella Sheasby, Luca and Marco Romeo, and Kaelin Bailey; brother, Michael Bailey of Baltimore.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 12 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD with Rev. Jeannie Marsh.  Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Native American Rights Fund, narf.org.
