Romaine A. Shirley, age 62, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center.
Born March 3, 1949 in Carroll County she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elvir (Magruder) Gibson. She is survived by her husband, Roy L. Shirley.
She worked as a nurses aide and later retired from Random House in Westminster. She attended Union Memorial Baptist Church in Westminster. She enjoyed watching T.V. especially westerns and cooking shows, dancing, music, warm weather, and puzzles. She enjoyed time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son, Terry McDonald and wife Tanya of Westminster; grandchildren, Terren, Talynn, and Latoria McDonald; siblings, Frank Magruder of Pasadena, Beatrice Brown of New Windsor, Sandra Gibson of Ocala, Fla., and Paula Williams of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings, Elvira Graham, Carol Costley, and William Gibson, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 11:00AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, MD with Rev. Jessie Jerrod officiating. Interment will follow in the Carrollton Church of God Cemetery in Finksburg.
