Romaine Rhoten Seipp, age 86, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at her home.
Born April 18, 1925 in Hampstead, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Eugene and Thelma Beatrice (Davidson) Rhoten. She was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Francis Lee Seipp.
Romaine was a 1942 graduate of Westminster High School. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Hampstead, Westminster Moose, and attended the Westminster Senior Center. She enjoyed shopping, entertaining, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are daughter, Sharon L. Hamilton of Reisterstown; grandson, W. Scott Senseney and wife Wendy of Keymar; step-grandchildren, Bradley H. Hamilton of Baltimore, Dawn M. Langston of Lousiana; and special adopted granddaughter, Robin LaGrave of Taneytown; sister, JoAnn A. Rhoten of Westminster; special friend, Betty Blauvelt of Westminster; sister-in-laws, Martha A. Fowble of Pennsylvania, Dorothy Rhoten of Taneytown, and Gladys R. Rhoten of Westminster; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Elwood and Donald Rhoten; and sister, Gladys Shipley; and son-in-law, Calvin Hamilton.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Hampstead with the Rev. Curtis Ehrgott officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, and from 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
