Roger Jesus Vega

Roger Jesus Vega, age 68 of Frederick, died on March 8, 2023 at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, after a noble fight with cancer. Born January 25, 1955, in Cost Rica, he was the son of the late Augusta and Jenny Vega. He was the loving husband of Alice Alfredia Gillam Vega for 11 years, married February 23, 2012.

Roger was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg. He worked at NIH as an accounted and loved his job. He is the favorite Uncle, his nieces and nephews always asking him to take them fishing and camping.

Roger is survived by, siblings, David and wife Elizabeth, Marleng, Noel and wife Emilia, Yadira and husband Lucas; son, Joseph; daughter, Sarah; granddaughters, Tyra and Olivia; many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.

He was predeceased by his loving dog, Shadow.

A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 331 South Seton Ave, Emmitsburg, MD at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023.
