Roger Kenneth Reifsnider, age 83, of Keymar, Maryland, died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Born April 12, 1929 in Keymar, Maryland, he was the son of the late Isaiah and Alice (Rinehart) Reifsnider. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Romaine Elizabeth (Dayhoff) Reifsnider.
Roger was a lifelong farmer and operated Reifsnider’s Farm Suppply and Antique Shop in Keymar. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown, the National Clock Association, the National Antique Music Box Society, and the Carroll County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed attending auctions, and antique collecting, especially cars, clocks, and music boxes.
Surviving in addition to his wife are step-daughter, Sharon Ruck and husband Jamie of Emmitsburg; godchildren, Rhiannon, Heidi, and Brennon Robertson all of Keymar; sisters, Alice Crabbs of Westminster and Doris Grimes of Keymar; special nephew, Doug Reifsnider and wife Cindy of Keymar; and many other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Glen Reifsnider.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Grace United Church of Christ, 49 W. Baltimore St., Taneytown, with the Rev. Steven Ostendorf-Snell officiating. Interment will follow in the Grace U.C.C. Cemetery in Taneytown. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
