Robert Wayne Shaub

Robert Wayne “Robbie” Schaub, 57, of Taneytown, Maryland died unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home.  Born August 29, 1956 in LaPlata, Maryland, he was the son of the late Henry Robert and Mary Ella Schaub.  He was the husband of Donna Phillips Schaub, to whom he was married for 26 years.

Robbie was in construction and worked with a variety of companies and contractors throughout the years.  He enjoyed fishing and boating.  He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens.  He enjoyed attending Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown.

Surviving in addition to his wife are sisters, Janet Reid of Florida, and Nancy Schaub of LaPlata; brothers, Ricky and Ronnie Schaub of LaPlata; and all of the members of his wife’s family.  He is also remembered by close friends, Rob and Shawn Rippee and their son, Gunnar, of Jessup, and Frank and Sharon Duvall of Severn.  He was predeceased by son, Robert Henry “Joey” Schaub.

Funeral services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, 21787.
