Robert Michael Gasior, age 51, of Taneytown, Maryland, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster.
Born June 11, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Rita (Wisniewski) Gasior of Dundalk, Maryland and the late Robert E. Gasior. He was the husband of 16 years to Kerri (Barthlow) Gasior.
Robert was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Taneytown. He was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service at the processing and distribution plant in Frederick, Maryland for the past 16 years. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed fishing and listening to classic rock music.
Surviving are children Kerri Anne, Karen, Katherine, Keith, and Kyle Gasior all of Taneytown; siblings, Eileen Karczmarek of Abingdon, Mary Delss of Essex, Bridget Butzner of Essex, Vincent Gasior of Dundalk, and Paul Gasior of BelAir; mother and father-in-law, Jane and Rodger Barthlow of Libertytown; sister-in-law, Tracy Lewis of Taneytown and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 44 Frederick St., Taneytown, Maryland 11 a.m. Monday, October 12 with Msgr. Martin E. Feild officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Maryland. A wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
