Rita Rose Reaver, 58, of Taneytown died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home. Born May 10, 1955 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy L. Washington. She was the wife of Dennis Reaver, to whom she was married for 36 years.
Rita worked in banking for nearly twenty years with BB&T and Susquehanna Bank, both in Westminster. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, collecting anything pertaining to hummingbirds, and spending time with family and her Pembrook Welsh Corgis.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Denise Davis and husband John of Harpers Ferry, WV; son, David Reaver of Catonsville; step-son, Eric Reaver of Port St. Lucie, FL; and step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Nathaniel Reaver.
