Rita Margaret Petry, 74, resident of Timber Ridge in Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her home.
Born January 4, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Albert and Arabell (Bartell) Michael.
She worked for Random House Publishers in Westminster, and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
Surviving her are daughter, Sandy Hoff and husband David; son, Timothy Saffell and wife Cindy of Taneytown; sisters, Margaret Gorsuch and Doris Michael both of Westminster; grandchildren; Shane Saffell, Haley and Haden Hoff; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME in Westminster.
