Richard "Rick" Donaldson, Sr.

Richard Joseph “Rick” Donaldson, Sr., 70, of Westminster, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home.  Born October 3, 1951 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Richard Eugene and Marjorie Donaldson.  He was the devoted husband of Karen (Buckheit) Donaldson, his wife of 35 years.

Rick was a wheelchair technician and repairman.  Most recently, he enjoyed driving a bus for Carroll Transit.  In his younger years, he worked as a radio disc jockey at WQSR and WCAO in Baltimore, and WMZQ in Washington, D.C.  He enjoyed playing golf, fishing on the Potomac, and was an avid fan of the Washington Capitals.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Karen, is his son, Richard Joseph Donaldson, Jr.  Services are private.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Westminster.
