Richard “Rich” Lee Tau, age 43, of Thurmont, Maryland, died on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born November 22, 1968 in Silver Spring, Maryland, he was the son of the late David and Susan (Higgs) Tau, Jr.
Rich was a member of the N.R.A., and the Lewistown Ruritan Club. He was a competitive roller skater in his younger years, and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Surviving are daughters, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Sarah, and Jessica Tau all of Maryland; sister, Darlene Tau Martone of PA; nieces, Melissa Martone of Florida, Tiffany and Melissa Ferentinos of PA, and nephew, John Martone of PA.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Lewistown United Methodist Church, 11032 Hessong Bridge Road, Thurmont, Maryland with Pastor Elza Hurst officiating. Per his wishes his cremated remains will be scattered over his favorite hunting spot Saturday, 11:30 A.M April 14, 2012 at the Jerry Murphy Farm.
