Richard Brian Schultz, age 66, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center.
Born July 13, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of the late Edward Henry and Hilda Elizabeth (Hornig) Schultz. He is survived by his wife Cynthia K. Baxter.
Richard was retired from the Baltimore County School System after teaching 30 years as a science teacher and administrator. He was a member of St. Benjamin’s Lutheran Church in Westminster where he sang in the church choir. Richard enjoyed golf and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Jeffrey Schultz and wife Rachel of Ellicott City; step-daughter, Liz Kimble and husband Ryan of Westminster; twin brother, Edward Schultz and wife Jean of Ellicott City; grandchildren, Luke and Nate Schultz; step-grandchildren, Sam and Evelyn Kimble; nephew, Robert Schultz and wife Cindy of Ellicott City.
He was predeceased by a spouse, Patricia Schultz, and by a sister, Sandra S. Krawiec.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 at St. Benjamin’s (Kriders) Lutheran Church, Kriders Cemetery Rd., Westminster with the Rev. David S. Schafer officiating. Private inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD.
