Richard Allen “Lumpy” Peregoy, 44, of Taneytown, Maryland died suddenly Saturday, September 27, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born March 11, 1964, he was the son of Robert L. and Barbara Seal Peregoy of Bean Station, Tennessee, formerly of Taneytown, Maryland.
He worked as an assistant machine operator for Timbar Packaging and Display Oxford Division of New Oxford, Pa. He loved cooking, especially Bar-B-Q grilling, attending flea-markets, and playing darts. He operated his CB radio under the handle name of “Stallion”.
Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers and spouses, William & Jeannine Peregoy of Westminster; R. Wayne & Ursula Peregoy of Taneytown; sister and spouse Patricia & Danny O’Tanger of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; and 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Maryland with Pastor Chris Grella officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
