Richard Gerard Lambert, age 73 of Westminster died Tuesday July 20, 2010 at Carroll Hospital Center. He was born September 24, 1936 in Belleville, NJ the son of the late William and Mabel Day Lambert. He was the husband of the late Patricia Miller Lambert who died in 2006. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served from 1954 to 1962. He retired in 1996 from the U.S. Government after working at NSA and the CIA. He was a member of the American Legion in Westminster. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed eating breakfast out. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lambert-Bray and Tom Bray of Union Bridge and Susan and John Tawes of Millers; grandson, John E. Tawes, Jr. and wife Laura of Hanover, PA; also survived by 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard G. Lambert, Jr. and brother, William Lambert, Jr. A funeral service will be held Saturday July 24, 2010, 10:00 AM at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Rev. Margaret Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 9475 Deereco Road, Suite 306, Timonium, MD 21093.
