Richard Trout Graham, 90, of Taneytown, Maryland died peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Glade Valley Nursing Center in Walkersville. Born August 21, 1924 in Johnsville, MD, he was the son of the late Norman and Cora Kump Graham. He was the husband of Margaret Might Graham, to whom he was married for 30 years,
Richard was an oil burner technician for Southern States Petroleum in Westminster for 20 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during World War II. He was a long-time member and past Commander of the American Legion, Carroll Post 31 in Westminster, and was active at Hesson Snyder Post 120 in Taneytown as well. He was also a member of the Westminster VFW, and in his younger years, the Reese Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Rick Graham and wife Gail of Westminster, and Jeffrey Graham and wife Patty of Taneytown; step-daughters, Susan Wilson and husband David of McKinney, TX, and Leslie Winchester of Santa Monica, CA; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Kenneth and Gerald Graham, and sister, Norma Yingling.
Services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown.
