Richard Lawrence Eby, age 83 of Westminster died Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Golden Living Center. He was born April 27, 1926 in Baltimore the son of the late Francis and Mary Tesamer Eby. He was the husband of Dorothy Wagner Wilson Eby. He was a graduate of Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore. He was in the U.S. Marines and spent time in Corpus Christi, Texas and in Europe. He was a graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Engineering and worked in chemical engineering for the State of Maryland and Baltimore County. He was a member of Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists Church, Johns Hopkins Club, Elks and the Westminster Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed reading and classical music.
In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Dagmar and husband, Dr. Said Bakeer of Selmer, Tenn, Richard W. Eby of Laurence, Harbor, NJ and Stephen and wife, Trisha Eby of Bel Air, MD;
step children, Wayne Wilson of Sykesville, Gary Wilson of Westminster and Linda Beadel of Parkland, FL; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Eby.
The family will receive friends Thursday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.
A private prayer service for the family will be held with Rev. Henry Simoni-Wastila officiating.
Inurnment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens at a later date.
