Rev. Wesley Monealous Glass, Jr.

Rev. Wesley M. Glass, Jr. age 87, of Taneytown, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born August 31, 1934, he was the son of the late Wesley Monealous Glass Sr. and Agnus Golden (Munday) Glass-Williams.

Wesley earned his Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary. He loved leading Bible studies and playing cards at the Taneytown and Thurmont Senior Centers. He was active in the monthly lunch date with the 1952 graduating class of Westminster High School. Wesley enjoyed reading, especially his Bible, and visiting local nursing homes. He relished in his time spent with family and friends.

Surviving are sons, Dan Glass and companion Jamie Stewart, and Bryan Glass all of Taneytown; sister, Wilma Jean Carr of Florida; and grandson, Stephen Boose. He was predeceased by his wife, Gaylene Emily (Brown) Glass in 2007; a son, Ward Glass; and sisters, Fern Hunichen and Marie Weaver; and step-father Richard A. Williams.

The family will receive friends at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 East Baltimore Street, Taneytown, MD 21787 on Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 1-3 and 5-7pm. A funeral service will be held at 7pm.
