Rachel Alida Urban, age 89 of Finksburg died Tuesday April 1, 2008 at her home in Finksburg. She was born July 3, 1918 in South Ashburham, Massachusetts the daughter of the late Wilfred and Almy LaCoss Taylor. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Urban who died in April 1996. She worked in office personal at the Cambridge Rubber Company and Norgas. She was member of the V.F.W. Littlestown Auxiliary. She attended St. John Catholic Church in Westminster.
She is survived by her daughter Linda C. Urban of Washington state; sister, Carole Sokowski of Merrimae, Mass. and brother, Kent Taylor of Gardner, Mass;
She was predeceased by siblings, Irving Taylor and Winifred Zalaska.
A funeral service will be held Friday 10:00 am at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Deacon Joseph Cinquino officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
