Peggy Ann Wheeler, 55, of Westminster died Friday, January 6, 2017 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born April 21, 1961 in Beckley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry C. Wheeler, Sr. and Pearl L. (Goad) Grumbine.
Peggy lived most of her life in Westminster and was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens. She loved to watch TV, especially Lifetime, and the Wizard of Oz was her most favorite movie. She loved children and would dance with her nieces. Another love was shopping, especially QVC and her jewelry and makeup. Peggy was a baker, making cookies and cakes for her friends and family.
Surviving is her brother and wife, Gary D. and Sarah Wheeler of Hagerstown; nieces, Becky Vasquez of Madisonville, KY and Jessica and Joey Wheeler of Hagerstown; and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Betty J. Lively and Sandra S. Ames and brothers, Henry C. Wheeler, Jr. and Floyd C. Wheeler.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis Street, Westminster with Pastor Keith Surland officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
