Pauline "Cookie" Upton

On Friday January 3rd, 2025, Pauline “Cookie” Upton passed away peacefully at Carroll Hospital in Westminster, MD. Born on August 5th, 1944 she was the beloved daughter of the late Tony and Amelia Krasauskis (nee Cepiatis). She was the dear wife of the late Allen Douglas Upton, who passed away in 2016.

Pauline was fondly called “Cookie” ever since she was a little girl. She loved to go shopping and went different places in search of items to beautifully decorate her home. She always had a colorful display of various flowers all around her yard in the spring and summer months. Cookie and Allen had a large vegetable garden they grew together so they could sell their produce at farmers markets. She adored her animals and had cats and dogs over the years. She always had German Shepherds but made some room for a few Pomeranians as well as a rescued Pekingnese. Steamed crabs were her favorite food and she enjoyed them with her family during the many summers she spent with them.

Cookie is survived by her daughter Chrissy Calka and her husband Lou Calka. She was Granny to her granddaughters Mandy and Michelle and G.G. to her great-granddaughter Maggie. She was the sister of Buzzy Krasauskis and the late Tony Krasauskis; sister-in-law to Dolores Krasauskis, Jeanette Krasauskis and Muriel Gyory; dear aunt to several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends for visitation at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street Taneytown, MD (21787) from 2-5pm on Monday January 13th and from 10-11am on Tuesday January 14th. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am on Tuesday January 14th with Pastor James Crocker officiating. Interment following the service will be at Keysville Union Cemetery.
