Pauline Evelyn McLaughlin, 88, of Taneytown died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Lorien Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown.
Born October 20, 1922 in Littlestown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Frances (Yingling) Bowers. She was the long-time companion of Harry Knapp of Taneytown.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed yard sales, auctions, flower gardening and yardwork.
Surviving are sisters Rosella Hocker of Harrisburg, PA and Mildred Wenziker of Chambersburg, PA.; Debbie Scott of Frederick whom she raised as a daughter, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Bowers and a sister, Florence Nusbaum.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown, with Deacon Charles Barnhart, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
