Paul Albert Snyder, age 65 of Westminster, died Monday June 30, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center after a lengthy illness. He was born February 13, 1943 in Baltimore the son of Alvin R. and A. Virginia Richardson Snyder of Upperco. He was the husband of 39 years to Stephanie J. Friedlein Snyder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Airborne Early Warning Squadron Four as a “hurricane hunter”. He owned and operated his own swimming pool business, A&A Pool Service. He enjoyed sporting dog field trails, Civil War history, trivia and was a sports enthusiast.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Jeffrey A. and Tammy Snyder of Hanover, PA and Brandon C. and Christina Snyder of Palm Coast, FL; sister, R. Diane Snyder and husband John E. Zeller of Manchester; brother, Roger W. and wife Virginia Miles Snyder of Annapolis; grandchildren, Katie and Grace Snyder; aunts and uncles, Catherine Snyder, Gertrude Richardson, Grace Richardson, Lawrence A. & Margaret Richardson, Patrick C. & Nancy Richardson and Edward & Dolores Richardson Cotton; sister & brother-in-laws, Carol Anne & Jack Schelz, David & Ginger Friedlein, Ken Friedlein & Nancy Buirski and Marcia & George Chalfant; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5th, 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis Street, Westminster.
Interment will be private.
