Paul Howard Roberts, Jr., 31, of Phoenix, AZ died unexpectedly Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his residence.  Born March 23, 1984 in Baltimore County, MD, he was the son of Cindy Lee (Eckard) Speak of Littlestown, PA.  He was the husband of Sarah (Wolfe) Roberts of Mechanicsville, MD.

Paul was a graduate of the Gateway School in Westminster and Francis Scott Key High School, class of 2002.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, and fought during the Iraq War.  He was a true warrior and hero who found comfort in confiding in his brothers and comrades of the 3rd ACR in Ft. Carson, CO.  He enjoyed nature and being outdoors.  He loved fishing, hunting, and playing and watching sports.  He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan.  Paul was a happy-go-lucky guy with an infectious smile.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are son, Peyton Ryan Roberts of Mechanicsville; Maternal grandparents, Richard and Debbie Eckard of Taneytown; uncle, Richard C. Eckard of Taneytown and his daughters, Natalie and Nicole; aunt, Sandy Clingan and husband Murph of Littlestown, PA and their sons, Corey and Cullen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rocky and Susan Day of Mechanicsville; and brother-in-law, Larry Wolfe of Owings Mills and his sons, Tristan and Cooper.  He is also remembered by Steve Reaver, his mother’s fiancé, and Steve’s parents, Glenn and Cindy Reaver.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with family friend Donald Grimes officiating.  Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery at Harney.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
