Paul Edward Matthaei, age 60, of Westminster, Maryland, died suddenly on Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home.
Born December 19, 1949 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Charles and Laura (Johnson) Matthaei. He was the husband of Jennifer (Held) Matthaei, his wife of 24 years.
He was a merchant seaman for many years, and in recent years enjoyed being a wrought iron and metal work artist in his home studio.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a sister, Margaret of New Orleans, and brother Raymond of California.
There will be no services or visitation.
