Paul N. Horichs, 72, of Eldersburg, died Friday morning, July 17, 2015 at his home after an extended illness. Born February 7, 1943 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William B. and Norma R. Pohlman Horichs. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lana M. Myers Horichs.
Paul built pools and was the owner of Pleasure Pools in Baltimore County. He co-pastored Harvest Church of Hampstead for many years and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved fishing, and making and collecting fishing lures. He loved his church and spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed visiting and vacationing in Cuttyhunk, Massachusetts.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughter, Jennifer Frey and husband, Tim, of Marriottsville; son, Owen Ball of Taneytown; brother, Kent Horichs and wife, Sandra, of Westminster; 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Luke, Nick and Nate; niece, Gayle Debenham and husband, Andrew, of Manchester and nephew, Daniel Horichs and wife, Cheryl, of Westminster.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 21st at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 2275 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, with the Reverend Eric Jorgensen and the Reverend Doug Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Westminster. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD.
