Patty Christine Wastler

Patty Christine Wastler of Taneytown, 74, passed away peacefully at Kline Hospice House, Mt Airy on Saturday, December 16, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Charles M. Glass, Stepfather, Emler Van Fossen and Margie Bell Glass Van Fossen.

She was born May 15, 1949, in Frederick, MD. She was a member of the Taneytown High School Class of 1967 and then graduated from the Baltimore Institute of Business College. Patty worked for the state of Maryland at Carroll County Dept. of Social Services.

Patty was an amazing person who enjoyed journaling, reading her Bible, shopping, traveling but most of all, family reunions and being with her daughter and grandchildren, watching movies, playing games, praying, and teaching them about the Lord.

She is survived by her daughter, Chasidy Wastler Womack; granddaughters Tristen Stonesifer and Cheyanne Mungo; sister, Charlene Glass Blacksten and husband Richard.

Patty was predeceased by her husband Charles “Chuck” Gordon Wastler in 2000, happily married of almost 32 years; infant son, Adam Troy; siblings, Elmer, Nadine, Lee, Betty, Audrey, and Virginia Lou.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Myers-Durboraw funeral Home, 136 E Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD, at 11 a.m.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
