Patrick Lawrence Hinkson, age 78, of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, March 24, 2014 at his home.
He was born on October 26, 1935 in Takoma Park, Maryland, son of the late George M. and Ella (Oberholzer) Hinkson. He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Louise (Doan) Hinkson; and is survived by his 2nd wife, Vivian (Cookston Grant) Hinkson.
Patrick was retired from the Goddard Space Flight Center after 38 years as a computer maintence engineer. He loved fishing, visiting the ocean, camping, listening to gospel music, and his pet cats.
Surviving in addition to his 2nd wife, are children, Teresa Hinkson of Frederick, Lora Arrington of Frederick, Jason Stevens of Charlottesville, VA, and twins, Gina Taylor of Severn and Chris Kline of Mt. Airy; sister, Nancy Leak of Ashton; and 6 grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Fred, Ray, and Robert Hinkson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, MD with Pastor Garry Sheaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Linden-Linthicum Cemetery in Clarksville, MD. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
