Patricia Anne (Royer) Wilhelm

March 13, 1944 — January 6, 2018

Patricia Anne (Royer) Wilhelm, 73, of York, Pennsylvania, formerly of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at York Hospital.

Born on March 13, 1944 in Frostburg, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert K. and Marian (Lloyd) Royer.

Pat was raised in Westminster, MD and graduated from Westminster High School class of 1962.  She was a member of the Job’s Daughters while in high school and attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.  She graduated from the Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in 1965 and worked as an R.N. at both Sinai Hospital in Baltimore and Springfield State Hospital in Sykesville.  She also worked as a private duty nurse taking care of long term patients in their home.  Pat was a gifted singer and church musician and played the organ for many years at Westminster Church of the Brethren.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading books, and her dog “Rudy”.

Surviving are daughters, Vanessa R. Utz and husband John Chronister of York, PA, and Chana Goldberg of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Kate Waldt, Tyler Chronister and Jessie Chronister; sister, Kay Cocklin and husband Joel of Findlay, Ohio, nieces, Kelly Bullington and Kimberly Speer; nephew, Nathan Cocklin; former spouse, Barry Goldberg.

She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Thomas Royer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster with Pastor Logan Ames officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finkburg.  The family will receive friends on Thursday January 11th from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
