Patricia Cecilia Brown

Patricia Cecilia Brown, of Taneytown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with illness. She was 86 years old.

Born on April 29, 1938, in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania, Patricia was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion, whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Brown; her daughter, Donna Ruhl; her son, David Brown; and her sister, Elizabeth James-Levandowski. Though she endured great loss, Patricia remained a source of love and resilience for her family.

She is survived by her devoted son-in-law, Mark Ruhl; her cherished grandson, Evan Ruhl; and her loving brothers, William James, George James, and Kenneth James. Patricia’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.

A visitation to honor Patricia’s life will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home in Taneytown, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society of Carroll County in Patricia’s memory—just as she gave so generously of her heart throughout her life.
