Patricia A. “Patty” Bouey, 84, of Altoona, PA died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Altoona Regional Health Systems following an extended illness. Born May 16, 1928 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Frank W. and Gertrude M. Kreis Bouey.
Patty was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked as a tube tester at Sylvania/Phillips ECG in Altoona, retiring August 1, 1988 after many years of faithful service. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Altoona.
Surviving are sister, Nancy E. Craig and faithful brother-in-law, Charlie Craig, of Altoona, PA; nephews, Frank Craig of York, PA, and Sean Craig and wife, Robin, of DuBois, PA; and 2 sweet grand-nieces Ellie and Harper Craig of DuBois, PA. Patty always appreciated the kindness of friends, Zita Milliron, Robin Monahan, and Tillie Harris, as well as good neighbor, Ellen, throughout her life, and especially during her sickness.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 47 DePaul St, Emmitsburg, MD with the Rev. John J. Holliday, C.M. officiating. Inurnment will follow in New St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Emmitsburg where her remains will be laid to rest next to her parents and sister. The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD.
