Olive F. Moter-Whitaker, age 84 of Baltimore, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Westminster, MD. She was born November 26, 1926 in West Virginia the daughter of the late Dewey and Myrtle Woods Jones. She was the wife of the late Dewey Moter, Charles E. McGowan and Roy Whitaker, Sr.
She is survived by her children, Jim Moter and Judy Thorton both of West Virginia, Jeannie Pierce of Pasadena, MD, Linda Hayhurst and Darlene Burr both of Westminster, MD and Lee Whitaker of Dundalk, MD; siblings, Eddie Jones, Hilda Davis, Alma Jean Vennerie all of West Virginia, Jack Jones, Alton Jones and Bobby Jones all of Maryland, Iris Bennett and Anna Gillkerson both of North Carolina; also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Casey Jones and Elmer Jones and sister, Wanda Waddel.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday May 11, 2011, at the
East Baltimore Church of God, 800 Oldham Street, Baltimore, MD 21224 with Rev. Roger Locklear officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Baltimore.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
