Nora Patricia Jackson, age 90, formerly of Gettysburg PA, died December 5, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Pleasant Lake, Indiana. Born July 9, 1934, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Richard White and Marvel Lorraine (Welk) White, and sister of the late Edward White.

Nora was an executive secretary for Snelling and Snelling for many years and then worked for Trout and Fox Commercial Real Estate Company. Later she worked as Uniform Service Coordinator for Amtrak until she retired. She worked for Calvert County parks and rec after retirement. Twice married, her first husband was William D. Albers of Baltimore, Md and later she married Charles Jackson of Olney, MD. She was talented in many areas; she loved painting, reading, jewelry making, gardening and sewing. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t learn to do. She loved her dogs and most of all she loved her family. 

She is survived by her children; Susan P. Tarbet and husband Daniel, of Pleasant Lake, IN, Cindy L. Shaw and husband Patrick, of Taneytown, MD, and Scott W. Albers of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren; Douglas Tarbet (Elizabeth), Michael Tarbet (Jessica), Tiffany Sobczak (Christopher), Matthew Shaw (Rebecca), Katie Shaw, Edward Spillers; great-grandchildren; Jordan Sanner (Taylor) Riley Mae Sanner, Andrew Tarbet, Madelyn Tarbet, Makenzie Tarbet, Blake Tarbet , Eurecca Prime, Kyira Thomas, Connor Sobczak, Jensen Sobczak and Daniel Sobczak and great-great grandchild; Mason Hutcherson

 A funeral service celebrating Nora’s life will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Myers- Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., 136 E. Baltimore Street., Taneytown, MD 21787 with burial to Gardens of Faith, Baltimore, MD. The family will receive friends from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Friday December 13, 2024, at the funeral home. Arrangements entrusted to Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A., Taneytown.
