Naomi May Bare, 91, of Westminster, died Wednesday evening, June 4, 2014 at her home. Born August 3, 1922 in Millers, she was the daughter of the late James T. and Elizabeth Weiss Hare. Her husband, Charles W. Bare, predeceased her in 1988.
Early in her married life, Naomi and her husband were dairy farmers. She then worked as a seamstress for Avenue Tailors in Westminster for many years. She attended Wakefield Valley Bible Church in New Windsor. She loved dogs and cats, growing roses and enjoyed collecting antique dishes. She loved reading, especially the Bible and Guideposts magazine.
Surviving are children, Darlene Snyder and husband Thomas Snyder, Diane Byers and husband Jesse, and J. Galen Bare and wife Cindy, all of Westminster; sister, Marie Miller of Hanover, PA; grandchildren Todd Snyder and wife Tammie of Glen Rock, PA and Meagan Byers of Westminster; and great-grandchildren Lindsay, Tyler and Abby Snyder and Johnathon Byers. She was predeceased by a brother who died in childhood.
Graveside services in Meadow Branch Cemetery are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Wakefield Valley Bible Church, 2206 Old New Windsor Pike, New Windsor, MD 21776.
