Nancy V. Eyler

Nancy V. Eyler, 73, of Emmitsburg, MD, died peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Gettysburg Hospital in Gettysburg, PA.  Born March 10, 1942 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Reno and Marian (Stonesifer) Eyler.  She was the wife of the late Jack L. Eyler.

Nancy worked at Freeman Shoe Company in Emmitsburg, and the Kinnie Shoe Company in Fairfield, PA.  She later worked as a seamstress at Little Sisters Clothing Manufacturers in Bonneauville, PA.  She was a life-long member of Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church in Emmitsburg.  Nancy enjoyed spending time at the beach and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are children, Denise Ausherman and husband Curtis of Rocky Ridge, MD, Robert Manahan, Jr. and wife Wanda of Gettysburg, PA, and Kevin Manahan and wife Lisa of Berryville, VA; siblings, Dolores Wivell and husband James of Thurmont, Margaret Ott of Emmitsburg, Dorothy Damuth and husband Art of Emmitsburg, Reno Eyler of Emmitsburg, Shirley Smith and husband Richard of Gettysburg, PA, and H. Eugene Eyler and wife Fran of Thurmont; grandchildren, Travis, Tyler, Trent, and Tanner Ausherman, Kayla Conover, Sean, Myla, Brett, and Bryce Manahan; great-grandsons, Jordan Ausherman and Casey Conover; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Sonny Ott, and grandson, Brandon Manahan.

A joint memorial service for Nancy and her late husband Jack will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Emmitsburg, MD, with Pastor Jon R. Greenstone officiating.  Burial will follow at Emmitsburg Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
