Myrtle Arlene Hoff, age 88, of Westminster, Maryland, died peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Carroll Hospital Center.
Born June 11, 1926 in Manchester, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Horatio and Treva (Black) Hunt. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William “Bill” E. Hoff.
Myrtle was an active member of Westminster Church of the Brethren and sang with the church choir for many years. She worked for a number of years as a secretary for Carroll County Public Schools. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed cooking, homemaking, and vacationing with her husband in Florida.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are daughters, Lynn Hoff Mahovsky and husband Joe of Atlanta, GA., and Cindy Hoff Dunbar and husband Scott of Westminster.
She was predeceased by a sister, Miriam Therit.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St, Westminster, MD, with Rev. Glenn McCrickard officiating. Burial will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery near Linwood. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
