Myrtie M. Syor, age 87, of Westminster, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday morning, December 12, 2009 at her home.
Born February 4, 1922 in Hinton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late German and Mittie (Okes) Bolen.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew L. Syor.
Myrtie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Glen L. Syor of Baltimore, Andrew L. Syor and JoAnn Morello of Canada, and Judy A. Streib and husband D. Scott of Westminster; grandchildren, Eric Streib and wife Heather, Jaime Thorn and husband Clint, Lisa Kakoullis and husband Steve, and Laura Morello-Syor; great-grandchildren, Lexy, Parker, and Ty Streib, Kameron and Evan Click; also Colin and Casey Thorn; a brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Myrtie was predeceased by a son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Tessie Syor, and by 7 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, with the Rev. David R. Bare officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Middle River, Md. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
