Molly Jane Gilds

Molly Jane Gilds, 87, of Taneytown passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born April 25, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth R. Gilds and Laura Janetta Gilds, nee Copenhaver; she is survived by her loving brother Kenneth C. Gilds of Westminster and her cherished cousin, James Yealy of Taneytown, who lived with her; and also survived by numerous other cousins. Jane was a graduate of the Taneytown High School and of Western Maryland College, now known as McDaniel in Westminster. She retired from the Carroll County Public School System where she taught English at West Middle School for many years. After her retirement, she worked for the Carroll County Public Library in Westminster.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Taneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Carroll County Public Library. Arrangements by Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, P.A. of Taneytown.
